{"id":12474,"date":"2026-05-28T13:37:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T11:37:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/events.alexandrasorgenicht.com\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=12474"},"modified":"2026-06-20T18:12:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T16:12:12","slug":"salon-blind-date-ein-rendevouz-im-dunkeln-interaktive-tanzperformance","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/events.alexandrasorgenicht.com\/en\/event\/salon-blind-date-ein-rendevouz-im-dunkeln-interaktive-tanzperformance\/","title":{"rendered":"SALON \u2013 Blind Date \u2013 A Rendezvous in the Dark \u2013 Interactive Dance Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Blind Date \u2013 A Rendezvous in the Dark I Interactive Dance Performance<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Sunday, June 21, 2026, 6:00 PM<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>LUX 305 \u2013 Space for INTUITION and intuitive living<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A rendezvous in the dark<\/strong><br \/>\nAn interactive blindfolded dance performance \u2013 and you are both the performer and blind.<\/p>\n<p>Performers and audience are barefoot.<br \/>\nA cycle takes eight minutes.<br \/>\nFour to five people can participate in a cycle.<br \/>\nThere are several cycles in the evening.<br \/>\nA total of four dancers will be participating in \u201eBlind Date.\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In \u201eBlind Date,\u201c the audience becomes the most important part of the show.<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the participatory performance, visitors have their eyes covered and are guided through a space they don't know and can't see by dancers they don't know and can't see. The dance begins slowly and gradually becomes more intense until, after eight minutes, the audience's sight is restored. However, the blindfolds are only removed after leaving the space. Visitors don't know what the space looked like or who their companions were for the past eight minutes. What remains is an impression beyond the visual world.<\/p>\n<p>When one sense is taken away, the others sharpen. Yet, consciousness also turns inward: movement, breath, and music bring us into a sort of meditative state. And there's this moment of trust, of letting go, and of experiencing without planning ahead. Through these means, the audience of \u201eBlind Date\u201c can gain a new access to their senses beyond sight and to the non-thinking mind. Most of them retain a feeling of mind-body unity and even relaxation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blind Date<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Cologne, \u201eBlind Date\u201c is part of the larger performance \u201eRoom Service,\u201c which takes place once a year over four days. \u201eRoom Service\u201c started almost 20 years ago, and \u201eBlind Date\u201c has always been a part of it. We have a lot of experience with different audiences, different people, temperaments, and bodies. We are very keen on exchange and look forward to encounters with interesting people. Furthermore, we are excited about the opportunity to experience \u201eBlind Date\u201c with a completely new audience.<\/p>\n<p>Following this, we look forward to a debriefing and an exchange of experiences and impressions.
